The clustering of cardboard
 
The flat plates and boxes leave the production sheet to sheet or in stacks. The stacks of every 10 to 20 sheets should be stacked, before they can be strapped. It depends on the batch size, production rate and population or species and to what extent the arrangement of the piles and feeding the strapping machine by hand or automatically done.
 
A single strap is usually sufficient for bundling. Two straps are required if the boxes are difficult to stack. (eg four points glued boxes).
 
Securing cardboard sheets on a pallet
 
When there is a number of bundles stacked on a pallet, the cargo is secured with 2 to 4 straps. The load is compressed before the straps are applied, this brings stability to the load during transport and allows pallets to be stacked in the warehouse. The amount of pressure exerted by the press is up 30 to 50 kN.
 Depending on the duration of storage, transport conditions and the instructions of the customer, the load can be wrapped with film. The film protects from dust, dirt and rain and improves the stability of the pallet load.
